Royal Academy of Dance R.A.D
Pre Primary & Primary Ballet Classes

At RJS Ballet we are proud to  teach the R.A.D Syllabus. All children develop at different ages but as a rough guide we start teaching preprimary around the age of 4 years old. Children can take R.A.D ballet exams from aged 5.

We offer our unique and specially designed curriculum which consists of R.A.D ballet and contemporary/ Lyrical dance.

We call this our

Gifted & Talented Program.

Children attending this program have a strong foundation on which to progress further.

Ballet is disciplined, calm, challenging both physically and mentally and lots of fun. At this age classes are often taught through stories and themes.

Contemporary - is more varied and the styles of dance we learn are all different. We use many styles of music, we stretch and strengthen our dances in this class and learn lots of new dance routines. Dance is a wonderful way to express yourself, learn new skills & make new friends.
